Dr Tan graduated from University Science Malaysia with the title of Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2016. She previously worked as a government dental officer for the past 2 and half years in Penang. She was the Leader of the International and Public Liaison Department in USM Dental Science Society and won USM Best Team of Community and Family Case Studies in 2016.

In 2018 & early year of 2019 Dr Tan was the Liaison Officer of the pre-school dental treatment team of Nibong Tebal, Penang. With a soft spot at heart with kids, Dr Tan interacts with young kids in her own sensible way. She is also very interested in prosthodontic works (dentures, crowns & bridges) as she loves to see the instant smile of satisfaction from patients.
